CITIC Pacific Mining employees wore pink shirts in the red dirt in October as part of a company-wide fundraising initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Employees at the Pilbara-based mining company raised a grand total of more than $33,800 for breast cancer research through a combination of fundraising activities including the purchase of more than 800 pink PPE or polo shirts in support of the cause. Employees wore their pink shirts to work each Friday during the month.
CITIC Pacific Mining matched the cost of each shirt purchased and organised a number of other fundraising activities both on site and in the Perth office including pink-themed morning teas and lucky number raffles on site.
All money raised went directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
CITIC Pacific Mining is proud to support breast cancer research in Australia.
