Infrastructure

The project features a significant investment in dedicated infrastructure including magnetite concentrator, 450 Megawatt combined cycle gas fired power station, a 51 gigalitre desalination plant and a new port facility. The combined-cycle power station which will primarily power the concentrator circuit will generate electricity equivalent to the entire capacity currently installed in the Pilbara. Concentrate will be pumped via a slurry pipeline to port facilities where it will be dried and stockpiled ready for export. A pellet plant is also planned for construction.
