  • Bulk earthworks are nearly complete in the Port area, and more than 4,000 Core-Loc concrete armour units have been installed on the breakwater. The Module Offloading Facility (MOF) is receiving modules, and the first stacker has arrived.

  • Work on the East/West site access road off North West Coastal Highway is close to completion, and the first fuel has been delivered to tanks at the fuel farm. Fifteen of the 90 power line towers have been erected, and 72 tower foundations constructed.

  • The first Autogenous Grinding (AG) mill arrived at site and was successfully lifted onto its foundation in the concentrator area near the first ball mill. The second ball mill pre-assembly is complete, and workshop construction is well under way for the pebble crusher and magnetic separation areas.

  • In the mine pit, the first and second crusher pocket slots have been completed and are ready for the first crusher to be installed. Bulk earthworks for the conveyor area are nearly complete.

  • There are now more than 2,800 rooms available across the four accommodation villages in and around the project site. Construction is continuing at Eramurra Village where 1,630 rooms have been installed, of which close to 400 have been completed and are occupied.

 

  • At the power station, two of the seven gas turbines are ready for commissioning, as is the water treatment plant. Installation of the first two heat recovery steam generators is nearly complete, and the 220kV switchgear is undergoing functional testing.
