Barry Fitzgerald – Chief Executive Officer
Barry Fitzgerald has 30 years experience in the iron ore, construction, engineering and maintenance sectors through a number of positions held with BHP Iron Ore, BHP Engineering, Henry Walker Eltin, Simon Engineering and Roche Process Engineering. In the past 10 years Barry has held executive management positions including Executive General Manager and Managing Director of Simon Engineering and Executive General Manager of Roche Process Engineering.
Barry holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from UWA, a UWA Master of Engineering Science and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Curtin University.
As CEO, Barry is responsible for the leadership and delivery of the project, as well as providing strategic oversight of the business’s vision and future plans.
Charles Yau – Chief Financial Officer
Charles Yau oversees the project's finance and accounting operations.
Prior to joining the project Charles spent 14 years at CITIC Pacific in various industries and functions including internal auditing, management support for the CEO office, business development, and financial control in China, Hong Kong and Japan. Before joining CITIC Pacific Charles was a public auditor with Price Waterhouse for five years.
Charles has a Masters in Business Administration, is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Malcolm Northey – Project Director 
Malcolm Northey has over 40 years of international project management and project director experience. His previous roles include Manager, Australian Operations, Fluor; Project Director, Yanacocha Gold Mine, Fluor; Project Director, Stanwell Magnesium Project, Fluor; and Managing Director of Signet Engineering Pty Ltd.
In his role as Project Director, Malcolm oversees the Perth, China, and Cape Preston site project teams to ensure the total project is engineered, procured and constructed safely, on time and within budget.
Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce and Law.
Andrew Thomson – General Manager Operations
Andrew Thomson has over 25 years experience in mining, engineering and asset management. During this time Andrew has held a number of operational and management roles with BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto that range from front line operations, support services and internal consultancy, of which 14 years has been in Iron Ore in the Pilbara. His previous experience as a specialist in Safety, Environment and Asset Management places him well in developing our world class operation within the Pilbara.
In his role as General Manager Operations, Andrew has been charged with the ongoing development of the project’s site and Perth based Operations team. This includes ensuring the project operates in a safe and cost-effective manner whilst achieving production at the planned quality and tonnage levels.
Hannah Fitzhardinge – Manager Corporate Affairs
Hannah Fitzhardinge has significant corporate and public affairs experience both within the resources sector and in politics. Over the last decade, her roles have included Government and Public Affairs coordinator for Woodside’s Pluto LNG Project, Government Relations consultant with Hawker Britton, and six years as an advisor to the former Premier of Western Australia, Dr Geoff Gallop.
In her role as Manager Corporate Affairs, Hannah’s responsibilities include government and stakeholder engagement, media relations, internal and external communication and community partnerships and relations.
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Politics from Curtin University, Perth.
Brad Hooper – Manager Human Resources
Brad Hooper has over 30 years experience in human resources and industrial relations management in Australia. Brad’s experience includes a variety of positions held in mining and engineering construction firms, as well as media. His previous roles include Human Resources Director, Fairfax; Group Human Resources Manager, Henry Walker Eltin and Human Resources Manager, Simon Engineering.
As Manager Human Resources for the project, Brad is responsible for establishing a sustainable workplace culture and implementing policy, procedures and systems that attract and retain our people as well as managing employee relations.
Gordon Lam – Manager Business Development
Gordon Lam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Gordon’s previous roles include Manager Corporate Financing at Oriental Patron Asia Limited and Accountant at KPMG.
In his role as Manager Business Development, Gordon is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic business plan on a commercial basis. Gordon’s role also involves identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Gordon is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a full member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Warren Fish – Heritage Director
Warren Fish has over 15 years experience in the heritage management and approvals fields, having worked in the US, southern Africa and Australia. He has held key roles in successful major projects including the North West Shelf Venture and Woodside Pluto LNG Projects. Warren has also held senior positions in the Western Australian State Government, including Registrar of Aboriginal Sites.
He is well respected in the academic community internationally, has numerous papers published in peer reviewed journals and has acted as a reviewer for academic publications.
Warren’s extensive government and industry experience assists him in his role managing heritage approvals, processes and frameworks for the company.
Warren holds BA (Hons) and Masters degree in archaeology.
Jim Turner – Project Director Infrastructure
Jim Turner has more than 35 years of contract mining and project construction experience in Australia and overseas. His previous roles have included Chief Operating Officer of BCM Civil and Mining’s West African and Central Asian operations, Director of Operations and New Business at African Mining Services/Henry Walker Eltin, Executive Director of Eltin Asia, where he had an overseeing role on the Hong Kong airport freeway construction and on mining projects throughout Asia, and Construction Manager for the John Holland Group where he was employed in multi-disciplinary mining, civil engineering and construction environments.
In his current role as Project Director Infrastructure Jim is charged with delivering project infrastructure according to the company’s ambitions schedule and within budget.
Jim has degrees in civil and mechanical engineering.
