CITIC PACIFIC Mining PROFILE

CITIC Pacific Mining Management Pty Limited (CITIC Pacific Mining) is a wholly-owned Australian subsidiary of Hong Kong listed company CITIC Pacific Ltd and has been established to manage the company's Sino Iron project.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer and senior management team have considerable iron ore/resources expertise and experience both in Australia and internationally.

As part of the Sino Iron project, CITIC Pacific Mining will construct and operate a mine and processing plant at Cape Preston. The company will also invest in significant infrastructure, including the construction of port facilities, a gas fired power station, a desalination plant and materials handling equipment.

The project team is located in Perth, Western Australia and in Beijing, China. It is estimated that the project will require 2,500 construction employees, and 600 full time employees when the mine becomes operational.

CITIC Pacific Mining is committed to working closely with the communities and stakeholders where the project is located. This will include identifying employment and training opportunities, and supporting business development and community development projects.
