CITIC Pacific Mining Management Pty Ltd (CITIC Pacific Mining) is a subsidiary of CITIC Pacific Ltd.
CITIC Pacific is incorporated in Hong Kong and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with shareholders from all over the world. It is the largest special steel maker in China. CITIC Pacific also has significant interests in power generation assets, aviation with a major shareholding in Cathay Pacific, civil infrastructure as major shareholder and operator of Hong Kong’s cross-harbour road tunnels, and significant commercial and residential land developments.
Equity Participation
CITIC Pacific Mining intends to invite partners to invest in and support the Sino Iron project through equity investment.
As announced to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by CITIC Pacific on 22 August 2007, the first equity participant will be China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). Following receipt of relevant government approvals, MCC will hold a 20 per cent stake in the Sino Iron project. MCC is also the project's lead construction contractor and has international experience in similar construction works for large scale iron ore projects.
CITIC Pacific's wholly owned Australian subsidiary CITIC Pacific Mining remains responsible for the mine’s development, operation and ongoing management and growth.
