Partnerships

Community involvement in CITIC Pacific Mining's Sino Iron project is a critical element to the project’s success.

In addition to working with key stakeholders, the company will develop partnerships with local communities – including indigenous people – to deliver long-term social, economic and environmental benefits.

The Sino Iron project will support community development projects related to areas such as health, education, tourism and culture.  In particular, the project will provide employment and training opportunities for local indigenous people.

CITIC Pacific Mining is committed to the future protection and management of cultural heritage within the project area and region.

The project will also foster relationships with key Western Australian and Australian industry bodies and government agencies.
