International Benefits

The Sino Iron project will deliver massive benefits to Australia and China for decades to come. Because magnetite processing is new to Australia, but has been undertaken in China for decades, there is a significant opportunity for the transfer of skills and technology from China to Australia resulting in the development of a new magnetite industry for our State.

This particular deposit of magnetite has been discovered but gone undeveloped for decades.  Without our investment it is unlikely to have been developed in the near future. In addition to the economic benefits, the project is helping forge significant cultural ties between the people and governments of Australia and China.
